If you want to look radiant and fresh in summer, the sun and heat don't make it easy! Whether it's sunburn, light sweating or dry skin: looking dazzling is a challenge. With these tips, your skin will be glowing like the sun in no time!
Skin care
In summer, the skin needs extra care and attention. The skin detoxifies while you sleep and you sweat more in summer. Thorough cleansing in the morning is therefore particularly important for radiant cheeks.
As the sun and heat put a lot of strain on the skin during the day, the right night moisturiser is a must. Salt water in the sea, sand on the beach, ice cream on your cheeks and mouth and sun on your face: all this can lead to skin irritation. Gentle but thorough cleansing and a regenerating moisturiser will keep your skin healthy and radiant.
Tip: Aloe vera is the secret weapon of summer because the green plant moisturises, regenerates and repairs sun damage - 3 in 1! Santaverde has the right skincare for every skin type and every skin need. Always included: Pure aloe vera juice that moisturises, nourishes and above all regenerates the skin.
No matter how well you take care of yourself, every now and then you get burnt by the sun. There is a great repair serum for emergencies Aloe Vera Hydro Repair Gel.
Complexion and make-up in a summer mood
A fresh, radiant (and not agonisingly matte) complexion is the hit of every summer. Instead of heavy foundation, you can reach for BB cream in summer. "BB Cream" stands for "Blemish Balm" or "Beauty Balm" and is a true all-rounder: it moisturises, conceals small imperfections, protects the skin from the sun with minerals and makes it glow. The tinted moisturising fluid from Madara can be easily mixed with a sun cream, as can this summer's new product, the BB Cream from Benecoswhich is already the beauty editors' favourite!
If you don't want to do without a little more make-up despite your naturally radiant cheeks, you can opt for the natural look: Bronzer instead of blusher emphasises the summer tan - even on pale complexions. If you want a radiant glow, opt for shimmering minerals, e.g. from Lily Lolo or Inika, and for an understated look, go for the universal genius from Dr Hauschka: The unique Matte Bronzing Powder suits every skin tone and looks absolutely natural. Elegance and naturalness take centre stage here. The limited edition for the summer with its soft watercolour and practical pouch with brush for when you're on the go is gorgeous. But be careful, the beautiful tin is only available in limited quantities in summer:
Eyes
A summery, radiant look for all skin and especially eye types: Eyeliner and eyeliner can be confidently dispensed with in summer and the eyes gently outlined with dark brown eyeshadow instead. This gives an iridescent look and makes dark and light eyes shine. A touch of mascara and voilà: the 30-second eye look is complete!
Tip: In summer, you can play freely and carefree with colours. The subtle use of the perfect mascara colour instead of the universally used black is surprising. Clever use of complementary colours will make your eye colour shine without drawing attention to your eyelashes. Aubergine Mascara (from Dr Hauschka) makes green eyes sparkle, blue makes brown tones shine and deepens the gaze, while brown and anthracite make the look soft and feminine.
Lips
For many, lip balm is the summer must-have par excellence. However, many balms are manufactured in such a way that they initially moisturise the lips but then dry them out in the long term so that the product is used up more quickly. Products containing mineral oil in particular should therefore be avoided. Our summer favourites are the Lip Glosses from Intelligent NutrientsCaring, protective, nourishing and not only in great colours, but hmmmm, the natural ingredients taste delicious!
Body
We should also never forget about our body and always moisturise it before and after sunbathing and swimming. Oils are fantastic for after-sun care, but you shouldn't use them beforehand as the oil makes you tan very quickly but doesn't protect you from the rays. It is very important to moisturise afterwards, as the heat removes a lot of moisture from the skin, which it urgently needs to regenerate, especially after sunbathing. Après sun gels (such as those from Dr Hauschka) are ideal for this, as are various body oils.
