The towel trick for clear skin

It's almost as if it's a taboo subject: drying your face after cleansing. Yet drying is almost as important as the cleansing itself!

To avoid immediately contaminating the cleansed skin again, you should always ensure that you only use a clean towel. Do not rub the skin, which is sensitive from cleansing, but dab it gently. The skin should remain slightly moist so that the subsequent care products are better absorbed.

The towel for the face should be replaced after at least one week. After a week, i.e. 14 washes, the towel is no longer clean and the risk of infection increases.

However, the choice of detergent is also crucial. Synthetic fragrances and bleaching agents are absorbed by the towel during washing and get onto the skin. This causes irritation and often inflammation. Ouch! So it pays to opt for natural and organic detergents.

Natural and particularly well-tolerated detergent is available here. Alternatively, you can also wash your face towel with organic shampoo or pure soap. If you use facial tissues, you should also look for organic quality: Conventional facial tissues also contain synthetic fragrances, colours and bleaching agents.

... and what could be nicer than the scent of a fresh, fluffy towel?
