Spending hours being pampered in a spa is a very special luxury in itself. But it's also important to pamper yourself in everyday life and take time for yourself and with yourself. This time with yourself is all the more enjoyable if you also consciously and healthily pamper your skin...
Timing - taking time for yourself
Take your time and try to be as undisturbed as possible. Whether 1 hour or 3 is entirely up to you. Leave your mobile phone switched off and close your laptop. Timing is crucial, because your partner will definitely still find you attractive with a green algae mask on your face, but it may take a while for him to understand the meaning behind it. If your partner comes to see you after the treatment, you can non-chalantly claim that you have just got home!
The preparation - relax and drink tea
Now the enjoyment begins: make yourself as cosy as possible! A pot of herbal tea is ideal for relaxing and slowly calming down. The Pukka Relax Tea is perfect for this, as it consists of a gentle herbal blend that helps to relax. If you want to focus more on detoxification, you can also try the sweetish Pukka Pure Detox or brew yourself a strong cup of bitter dandelion tea.
Gentle introduction - steam bath for face and soul
Firstly, gently and carefully cleanse the skin to remove make-up and dirt. For the steam bath, heat a large pot of water and pour herbs over the water as required. You can use any herbs you like to smell, from rosemary to lavender.
Tip: If you don't have fresh herbs to hand, you can also use tea bags. It is important to ensure that both fresh herbs and tea bags are of organic quality.
As soon as the water boils, remove from the heat and leave to cool for 2-3 minutes. Tie your (long) hair back so that it doesn't fall in your face and hold your face over the pan. Place a towel over your head so that the steam cannot escape and close your eyes. The steam opens the pores and the herbs unfold their effect on the skin. Steam the face for a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes, then gently pat dry. Caution: Do not roughly rub the moist, open skin.
The cure - pampering the skin
The pores are now open and the skin is ideally prepared for a face mask. Depending on the condition of your skin, you can use a cleansing or more nourishing mask. If you have a particularly long time and are struggling with blemished or dull skin, you can also apply a cleansing mask first and then a nourishing or soothing mask. Here there is a great selection of the most special masks!
During the transitional season, the Dr Hauschka Soothing Mask particularly sensitive skin to regain its balance.
If you don't have a mask at home, you can also use natural yoghurt! Simply apply one or two tablespoons to the skin and leave on for about 10 minutes. The yoghurt moisturises the skin and makes it radiant and supple.
The luxury - the facial massage
The facial mask is followed by real luxury: the facial massage. Start by stroking your forehead and cheeks with your fingers. Start very gently and don't apply too much pressure! A facial massage is for relaxation and the face is very sensitive, as is the skin. Massage your temples and cheeks in a circular motion. Parallel "stroking" helps against tired eyes. Simply place your index finger and middle finger on the lower eye area and stroke towards your temples. You can vary the facial massage as you wish. Tip: apply a little oil to your fingers. This makes the massage easier and smells wonderful!
The finishing touch - shiny hair
Now simply care for your skin as usual and apply a moisturiser. A great tip for beautiful hair in the morning is to "oil" your hair. Take approx. one tablespoon of coconut oil and distribute the oil through your hair. Pay particular attention to the ends and roots! Then simply tie the hair up and leave it in until the next morning. In the morning, rinse your hair well (preferably twice, as oil residues can make your hair greasy very quickly). The hair can then be brushed through without any resistance and is smooth and shiny! Alternatively, you can use a Conditioner with rosemary that is easy to do and makes the hair shine.
