It should accompany us through every situation in life and not let us down - what sounds like a description of our best friend is actually intended for something completely different: Deodorant. Hardly any other product has to fulfil such high standards and that's a good thing, as our armpits perform important bodily functions.
Countless sebaceous and sweat glands, nerves, lymph nodes and fatty tissue - all of this is located in our armpit region. The armpits produce scents via glands, which characterise our individual body odour in the form of pheromones and sweat. In addition, the body regulates its temperature by sweating - via two to five million sweat glands - cools the skin and the inside of the body and removes toxins from the body.
There is no doubt that sweating is important for our bodies, but we don't want unpleasant odours and a feeling of discomfort. Deodorants are the ideal solution, but where a lot goes out, a lot can come in, so you have to be very careful when choosing:
Commercially available deodorants often contain aluminium salts. They close the pores and thus prevent the formation of sweat stains. However, it has been known for some years that it is precisely these salts that increase the risk of breast cancer many times over. Other toxins contained in deodorants can also be deposited in the lymph nodes in the armpits and transported to other parts of the body via the lymphatic system. They burden the lymph centres, damage the immune system, the hormone organs, the bone and connective tissue system and the organs - resulting in damage to health.
That's why it's particularly important to pay attention to the ingredients in a deodorant. Biomazing team member Denise took this as an opportunity to take a closer look at two of the new superstars in deodorant heaven and compare them: Soapwalla Deodorant Cream vs. FINE Deodorant, which product can meet our standards?
The Soapwalla products FINE
Practical packaging in a tin, decorative in a jar
Soapwalla: In a PBA-free plastic jar, small, light and practically packaged, the Soapwalla deodorant fits in every cupboard or in your bag when travelling. Thanks to the wide jar, the product can be used up to the very last drop.
FINE: Supplied in an organic cotton bag and with a wooden spatula, the decorative design of the brown FINE jar is reminiscent of a fine cream at first glance and adorns every bathroom. Quickly stowed away in the bag, it is ideal for travelling.
Discreetly intense odour
While vetiver and geranium add FINE deodorant with an intensely earthy and woody odour, the deodorant Sopawalla with a subtle, restrained citrus or lavender fragrance. Due to the more intense FINE fragrance, it also lasts longer during the day. Soapwalla, on the other hand, is ideal for those who prefer a more subtle scent. The different intensities are due to the background of the brands: FINE founder Judith expresses her love of beautiful fragrances in the deodorant, while Rachel from Soapwalla consciously wants to avoid any odours.
Consistency thick, rich light, fluffy
As both products do not contain waxes or hardening components, the consistency may change slightly depending on the temperature or during use. However, when warmed up in the hands or placed in the refrigerator for a few minutes, the original consistency can be quickly restored.
Skin feel: rich caring fragrant nourishing
Soapwalla: Due to its rich, thicker consistency, the deodorant cream must first be warmed slightly in the hands before application. It is then easy to spread on the skin and leaves a feeling of deeply nourished skin that lasts all day.
FINE: The lighter consistency and the wooden spatula make the product very easy to apply, the cream "melts" into the skin and is quickly absorbed. What remains is the odour.
Irritations: None None
If, like me, you have sensitive skin, you can rest assured: Neither with Soapwalla still with FINE On the contrary, the individual nutrients intensively care for the skin in the armpit region and leave it feeling pleasantly clean.
Your performance
In everyday situations, during relaxed leisure programmes, nerve-wracking business meetings, jogging, yoga, mountain climbing, boxing lessons and dancing the night away, I have tested the two Deocremen sufficiently with the support of the team. The result is surprising, but of course we are very pleased: Once you've got the dosage of both Deocremes down, you can rely on Soapwalla and FINE!
Soapwalla FINE

The brands
While FINE has only recently appeared on the market with the deodorant of the same name, Soapwalla has established itself over the last few years as the original cult deodorant cream and offers facial and body oils, soaps, toners and a body polish in addition to the two deodorant varieties in lavender and citrus.
Selection
While FINE is currently still on the market with a deodorant, Soapwalla offers two deodorants - citrus and lavender. Here is a little help with the choice: the citrus cream is even gentler on the skin and its consistency is reminiscent of icing.
Price and quantity Soapwalla FINE
56.6g for 16 EUR 30g for 28 EUR
In direct comparison, the price/performance ratio of Soapwalla is unbeatable: a lower price with more quantity and the same effectiveness!
Summary
Free from any chemicals, parabens, hardeners, aluminium and rich in natural ingredients that care for and protect our sensitive underarm area and reliably prevent odour formation in extreme situations, these two products are clearly our favourites on the deodorant cream market!
The winner
Tastes differ and so do these two deodorant creams. Depending on individual preferences, both Soapwalla and FINE offer convincing advantages.
Personally - and this is also the consensus in our team - I opt for Soapwalla as the winner: the lighter jar with a wider opening, the less intense odour, the consistency during application and finally the price simply convince me more. But FINE deserves the best second place that can be awarded!
