Le Rouge Français is a beauty company founded in 2018 by biotechnology engineer Élodie Carpentier. All products and the specially developed refillable lipstick cases are developed according to the highest standards of ethical and clean beauty. The company not only avoids the "usual suspects", but also problematic ingredients such as the shimmer mineral mica or titanium dioxide. The intense pigments all come from nature.
Nourishing with valuable plant oils and waxes - and the perfect colour for every kissable mouth
The pigments used here read like a who's who of arts and crafts history: the dyer's madder (Rubia tinctorum) from the Charente-Maritime region of western France, the Indian lotus flower (Nelumbo nucifera), the dyer's woof (Reseda luteola) or the gall sumac (Rhus chinensis).
In the past, these pigments were used to colour exquisite silk fabrics and wool. At Le Rouge Français, they give the lipsticks their multidimensional colour, which can be applied with anything from delicate to intense coverage.
The formula is also rich and antioxidant. It nourishes with shea butter, a blend of jojoba, apricot, sunflower seed and castor oils, as well as the addition of candelilla, rice bran and carnauba wax.
