Chaga:

The Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) supports your body's immune function and has been used for hundreds of years. The Finns used it as a coffee substitute during World War II when no beans were available. Four Sigmatic produces the chaga wild, which means they source the mushrooms directly from birch trees (using sustainable practices). They then extract its woody fruiting bodies and spray the concentrate. The end product is a blendable organic powder with no fillers or carriers.

Reishi:

Reishi is known as the queen of mushrooms and was once reserved only for kings and nobles in East Asia. It helps to provide the support we all need in times of stress. Four Sigmatic uses limewood riceishi (Ganoderma lucidum) and extracts the fruiting bodies. Then they package the organic powder without fillers or carriers so you can relax with ease.

The organic family farm that Four SIgmatic works with prides itself on optimising the growing medium for each individual mushroom so that they grow exactly as they would in nature. For example, a red reishi fruiting body is grown on underground logs.

Of course, the Chaga mushrooms are also sustainably harvested in the wild. The Finnish favourite and king of mushrooms, Chaga, grows on birch trees, so we source ours from organic cultivation in the world's largest birch forest, the Taiga in Siberia. Only part of the chaga conk is removed to ensure it continues to grow without damaging the tree!
