This essential curl care product is perfect for wash & go's, twist-outs and braid-outs and instantly improves curls. This leaves curly styles smooth and bouncy with immense shine and soft hold.

Application:

Divide your hair into small sections and apply to damp hair individually to promote softer, more defined curls, or apply to hair throughout the week. Use with Sweet Hibiscus Curl Defining Gel for added definition.

I always use it together with the gel & it works great together! Gives shine & velvety soft curls!!!
However, the name 'Curl Activating Lotion' doesn't apply to me at all. It doesn't get any more out of my curls than a leave-in conditioner & doesn't give any hold or definition that I don't naturally have anyway, like when I don't use styling products.
But because it adds so much shine and smoothness, this product still gets 4 stars because I love it! (My curls 3a/3b)
