Travelbag secrets - How our Biomazing founder Anna travels the world

Biomazing founder and natural cosmetics expert Anna happily walks through the door into the Biomazing office in Vienna. She places a cosmetics bag on the table and laughs: "I've never travelled with so little luggage!". Although she is travelling for 3 months on business, she tries to travel with minimal luggage. In this interview, she tells us what's hidden in Anna's travel bag.

 

Pink: Anna, it's so nice to finally have you with us. How does it feel to be travelling for 3 months?

Anna: It feels really good to be travelling for a while. You get to see new places, discover exciting things and meet great people. Only the packing is a disaster! (laughs)

 

Pink: You hardly have anything with you, do you?

Anna: I'm travelling so much at the moment that it wouldn't be possible to pack much at all. If possible, I'm travelling with hand luggage and a handbag.

 

Pink: Won't you have to do without a lot? I imagine that would be particularly difficult with cosmetics!

Anna: I used to take an insane amount of stuff with me! But with the right products, it's even fun to pack less. I prefer to take as little as possible, but the few things I do take have to be multifunctional. The Pot of Gold Baby Balm is my latest all-rounder discovery: great for dry skin and after days spent travelling, for small wounds, cuts, burns and I even use it on blisters. The other day I burnt myself with hot tea water and thanks to the Pot of Gold I didn't even have any open sores two days later!

Pink: Then unpack your travel bag and tell us what you can't and don't want to do without!

Anna(laughs): There is so much. I don't even know where to start. The Deodorant cream from Soapwalla is always there, especially in summer. Lina Hanson's Satori Perfume Oil is my current favourite perfume, it's sweet but subtle and sophisticated. My musts are all multifunctional, so the Global Collection by Lina Hanson is made for me. All the products suit all skin types and are really effective. The Global Face Trio for example, clarifies the skin, cleanses it, can be mixed as a mask or used for skin care. A great product!

 

Pink: The new Global Beauty Collection by Lina Hanson is not yet available in Europe, is it?

Anna(laughs): Yes, yes, very soon at Biomazing! I love bringing new products to Europe. From my latest great discovery de Mamiel, I also have the Altitude Oil with me right now, it protects you from colds when flying and all the air conditioning and keeps your head fresh when you have "brain fog".

 

Pink: You also have the limited seasonal oil from de Mamiel also included?

Anna: Yes, the Summer Oil in the Spring Oil bottle, because I like the green colour so much. The seasonal oils from de Mamiel are a dream for the skin, the summer oil is absorbed so quickly and I also use it as after-sun care for the face and décolleté.

Pink: And what do you do when you find yourself in a stressful situation? For example, if you almost miss the plane?

Anna: The elixirs from Lotus Wei are particularly helpful against stress. I have just Joy Juice, Infinite Love, Inspired Action and Quiet Mind with it. Also the Quiet Mind Perfume helps me to stay calm. When I really need to switch off, I sit in the sun with a cup of tea, and my tea always has to be hot, even in summer! At the moment I love the Harmonise tea from Pukka.

 

Pink: And what about make-up?

Anna: In summer, I enjoy a natural look without make-up the most. But when work calls, I use the new Dr.Hauschka Foundation and the vegan mineral foundation from Inikathe Bronzer from Dr Hauschka and also the Mascara. I care for my skin thoroughly and cleanse it, for example, with the Bamboo activated carbon sponge from Dr.Sponge. Since I've been doing this, my skin looks so much clearer and healthier! My non-makeup tricks right now are the Resurfacing Mask and the Boosted Contouring Eye Mask from Tata Harper Skincareand the Pot of Shade from Kypris. All absolute miracle weapons for a radiant complexion and my current summer favourites.

 

Pink: Do you now have everything you need or are you missing one or two products?

Anna: I am currently eagerly awaiting a subsequent delivery of the No Hair Cream and our new sun cream from BiosolisI had a parcel sent here to the office from our warehouse because I wanted my Algamaris sun protection in Switzerland. I'm very impressed with the quality of both brands. The great thing is that if I forget something or am missing something, I can have it sent to me normally via the Biomazing shop - I'm basically our own customer (laughs)! Also a Wild perfume from Aromaflage will arrive tomorrow, otherwise the mosquitoes will eat me up.

Pink: Can you tell us what your beauty discovery of the summer is?

Anna: Another difficult question, there is so much and I can't reveal everything yet! But my biggest highlight at the moment is the fermented cosmetics from Whamisa from Korea. I'm absolutely crazy about the products and have therefore seen that we will soon be able to offer them at Biomazing - I'm curious to hear what you think!
