Mirror, mirror on the wall, which foundation is the right one for me in the country? Sometimes you even get the feeling that finding the right one is easier than finding the right foundation for your skin tone. And once you've found it, you'll stick with it. Here's a guide for all those who are still looking for it: The right foundation.
Liquid foundation
Liquid foundation is easy to apply and has relatively high coverage. The practical thing about liquid foundation is that you can create more or less coverage as required, and the complexion still remains fresh and does not immediately look cakey. Many people feel well-equipped for the day with liquid foundation alone, as it covers redness and evens out the complexion.
In natural cosmetics, there is not yet too much choice of liquid foundation, but we at Biomazing are the biggest fans of INIKA Truly Organic certified organic foundation or Dr Hauschka's liquid foundation.

Tinted moisturiser
Tinted day cream can be used either under foundation or on its own as it has minimal coverage and moisturises. Most tinted moisturisers usually offer light sun protection. For skin that doesn't need to be evened out with foundation, tinted day cream is a great all-in-one product: minimal coverage, moisturising and SPF. Bonus: Tinted moisturiser is a one-step product that keeps skin looking fresh all day without the need for concealer or setting powder - or any of the other 500 products in your make-up drawer...
Tinted moisturisers, as well as different variants of BB or CC creams, are available from Jane Iredale, Lavera, Madàra (our absolute favourite!) and many more.
Mineral Foundation
Mineral make-up is made from natural minerals and is available in liquid or powder form, with pure minerals in powder form, whether pressed or loose, being the gold standard for natural make-up. Mineral make-up is not only more natural than conventional products, it stays fresh on the skin for longer, has a natural SPF and can control the appearance of oily skin. Bonus: Mineral make-up is very well tolerated even by hypersensitive skin.
Mineral powder is best applied with a kabuki brush. This allows you to create little to very strong coverage as required and the coverage can even be so intense that you no longer need concealer!
There is now a range of great organic mineral powders. Biomazing bestsellers are the great colours from Lily Lolo and the perfectly natural-looking powders from Inika.
