It's not just our face that deserves the care and cleansing it needs. Our armpits are also stressed and strained on a daily basis. The solution: a DIY mask with a difference. It's a nourishing and detoxifying detox mask for the armpits that Rachel Winward, founder of Soapwalla and thus the best-known deodorant brand, has developed especially for Biomazing!
This mask is particularly suitable for switching from conventional deodorants to natural cosmetic deodorants, as it optimally prepares the skin under the armpits for this by accelerating and supporting the detoxification process. You can see the benefits of switching here read more.
To make this mask you need:
- 2 parts baking soda
- 1 part kaolin clay
- 1-2 tbsp natural yoghurt or soya yoghurt
- a squeeze of lemon juice (optional)
- 2-3 drops of essential oil, e.g. lavender or tea tree (optional)
Firstly, mix the dry ingredients, i.e. the baking soda and clay, well. The baking soda cleanses and repairs, while the clay draws impurities out of the pores. If you don't want to use baking soda at all, you can alternatively just use clay or chickpea flour, oat flour or finely ground rice flour instead of baking soda. Then add the natural yoghurt - or soya yoghurt without sugar for a vegan version - which also nourishes and refreshes the skin.
We also recommend adding a small splash of lemon juice, which has an antibacterial effect and also brightens the skin slightly. Optionally, you can also add two to three drops of an essential oil, lavender or tea tree oil are particularly suitable.
Apply to the armpits and leave on for 5 to 20 minutes. Then just rinse off et voilà: your armpits feel wonderfully soft and cleansed.
