Fermented cosmetics - a new secret of Asian beauty
Fermented foods have been produced in many cultures for centuries and in the past were mainly used to preserve fruit and vegetables for the winter without losing important nutrients. Fermentation is initiated by adding fungi, bacteria or other substances to the food to be fermented. In Europe, fermentation is better known as fermentation.
The cosmetics world soon discovered the numerous benefits of fermentation: to intensify the concentration of natural ingredients and maximise their effect, natural ingredients such as rose petals, bamboo shoots, matcha, white ginseng and herbs are mixed with bacteria or other cell substances and fermented in this way.
Whamisa uses traditional knowledge, the latest technological findings and the purest ingredients for its fermentation process for particularly effective results and soft, smooth skin. Founded in Korea in 2010, the Whamisa brand mainly uses fermented plant extracts, whose special mode of action has a long tradition in Asian culture. The Korean brand consists of almost 40 skincare products, all of which are produced according to traditional recipes.
The rather slippery consistency of the products, which is usually atypical for Europeans, may seem a little unusual at first glance, but it gives the skin a radiant complexion. The results are amazing: skin ageing and wrinkles are prevented and the skin feels smoother with every application. In addition, fermented ingredients are said to reduce the formation of pigmentation on the skin. All Whamisa products are certified by Ecocert and BDIH.
