Beauty DIY: Rosemary conditioner for clear, shiny hair

beauty diy rosemary rinse

Rosemary is one of the best herbs for hair: hair growth is stimulated, excess sebum is balanced, dandruff is reduced and unpleasant itching is soothed. As rosemary cleanses the hair of impurities and product residues, it also helps to achieve clear, shiny hair. Rosemary conditioner is therefore an ideal, natural remedy to give limp and tired hair new lustre and bounce.

The recipe is simple:
Bring a cup of water to the boil with 3-5 stems of organic rosemary. Then lower the temperature and simmer for 45 minutes. Pour the boiled water through a cloth or sieve into a bowl or glass and leave to cool. Do not use a plastic container for this, as this can release BPA into the warm water.

When the liquid has cooled down, pour it into a container that cannot break - to prevent injuries in the shower. Now, depending on the amount and length of hair, add 6-10 drops of rosemary essential oil and stir in.

Application:
After shampooing, apply some of the finished rosemary conditioner to the hair, starting at the roots. Now wrap the hair in a towel so that the rosemary can heal and soothe the scalp and penetrate the hair, cleansing it from the inside out. After 10-15 minutes, rinse the hair with the second half of the rosemary conditioner. Do not rinse with water.

Tip:
To improve the quality of the conditioner, you can use Demeter-quality rosemary and rosemary oil (Demeter quality and certification stand for an even higher standard of quality and sustainability). Demeter-quality rosemary oil is, for example here available.
